Project Description

Naturally, I usually design and print our personal greeting and holiday cards and 2012 was no different. (Though we used a 3rd party service last year).  I will sort through the various pictures I’ve taken of the family over the course of the year, along with a typical “awkward family photo”.  I staged this year’s photo in front of the Christmas Tree, complete with the “virtual fireplace” aka Yule Log on DVD to provide that extra cheesy background.

I designed the card from scratch, starting with a “chalkboard” background.  I chose a Hand Chalk typeface for the majority of the card and finished it off with some graphic styling (Star, photo borders, etc.)  Kept things in a dark grey, white and red theme.

I was happy with the the end results, and great to send them to friends and family.
