WordPress Website Redesign for Johnson Flooring

Johnson Flooring is a family-owned and operated Southern California hardwood flooring company with over 60 years of experience but they needed to update the severely outdated website. Let’s just say, we were able to “sand down and gloss over” the website with a new look, better representation of their brand and an easy to use/navigate site for their potential customers.

Overall, it was a “Modern Refresh” both look & feel. The original site was functional, but the look was simply outdated. The updated site features a condensed navigation that is organized to make it easier to view galleries and services on both desktop and mobile. Since Johnson Flooring does both residential and sports flooring, we created two separate pages with gallery displays of respective flooring projects. Behind the scenes, we updated each page with new verbiage and more relevant information along with organized services, wood species available, and types of flooring. In addition to mobile functionality, we also ensure it is fully responsive for good use on mobile devices and tablets.

This website is built on WordPress which is an open-source Content Management System (CMS) framework. WordPress is hugely popular due to its ease of use, wide range of capabilities, customizable architecture and a large pool of designers and developers. WordPress powers over 60% of all CMS type of websites, over 30% of the total internet and is backed by a pool of over 100,000 designers and developers.

The extremely wide-range of plugins and add-ons make the site easy to upgrade and expand in regards to functionality and content. Because of its popularity, the architects of WordPress keep the overall platform and architecture easy for webmasters and website owners to update content on the site.
